NIHR’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities Convenes its 7th Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities has convened its 7th meeting at the NIHR’s Headquarters in the Seef District virtually under the chairpersonship of Dr. Malallah Al-Hammadi and membership of Mrs. Deena Al-Ladhi and Mr. Daniel Cohen,
The Committee opened its agenda by following up on its previous resolutions and recommendations and the actions taken thereupon, especially those related to addressing some detention and arrest centres, hospitals and healthcare facilities, with a view to coordinating to conduct field visits to them in order to review their procedures and services provided by them to their guests, visitors and beneficiaries of various kinds of health services, in accordance with the basic human rights principles.
