NIHR Board hold Third Ordinary Meeting

The Board of Directors of the National Institution for Human Rights held its Third Ordinary Meeting under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul at its headquarters in Seef District.
The meeting reviewed the results of a NIHR delegation visit to the 29th Session of the Human Rights, and discussed meetings the delegation held with officials of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights as well as representatives of human rights organizations.
The Board also reviewed an NIHR draft to receive complaints according to the human rights manual. The draft had been adopted by the General Secretariat to take the necessary action and implementation thereof.
Chairperson of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee, Maria Khoury, briefed the Board on complaints and requests received and actions taken.
The Board approved holding the next meeting on September 14.
