Meeting

The Bureau of the Council of Commissioners at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its first regular meeting, chaired by Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, with the participation of the Vice Chairperson, the heads of the Standing Committees, the Child Rights Commissioner, and in the presence of the Secretary-General.

At the outset of the meeting, the Bureau discussed visions and future plans aimed at promoting and protecting human rights, in preparation for developing the Institution’s strategy and action plan for 2026–2029. This strategy will include key objectives aligned with current requirements, most notably strengthening cooperation and capacity-building for civil society organizations, in addition to intensifying training programs targeting employees in various government sectors, thereby contributing to the consolidation of justice and equality and the promotion of a human rights culture.
