NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms is convening its 15th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms has convened its 15th regular meeting at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district, under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Ahmed Subah Al-Saloom.
During the meeting, the Committee discussed a proposal to present a set of lectures under the theme “Programme for preparing those entitled for Alternative Sanctions” under supervision of the NIHR and Ministry of Interior, for those benefiting from alternative sanctions and measures, in order to help them open up to the outside environment and prepare them to engage in society positively in a way that qualifies them to return to life normally.
The Committee also discussed its previous recommendations on preparing an awareness programme for voters and citizens of the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections, and the importance of participating in them being a political right.
