Meeting

Under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh, and membership of D. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Daniel Cohen, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms has convened its 26^th regular meeting at the NIHR’s Headquarters in the Seef District.

The Committee opened its agenda by following up on the arrangement and coordination of the International Conference on Environmental Protection that is to be held during the coming period with the participation of speakers from local and international experts with various specialisations.

During the meeting, the committee also reviewed the recommendations contained in the concluding observations of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 4^th report on the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) related to the NIHR, where a proposal for the institution's response to those recommendations was discussed.
