Meeting

The General Rights and Freedoms Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its third meeting, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Juma Fuzaia. At the outset of the meeting, the Committee discussed a proposal to submit a recommendation regarding the organization of a set of joint activities with several partner entities, as part of strengthening the implementation of the provisions of the memoranda of understanding signed between the NIHR and those entities. This approach aims to maximize benefits, enhance the NIHR’s activities in promoting the human rights culture for which it was established, and expand its outreach to various segments of society.

As part of following up on its work, the Committee reviewed a detailed report that included all previous recommendations and decisions, along with the corresponding implementation measures that had been taken, ensuring the full activation of those outcomes and achieving the highest level of benefit from their results.
