NIHR’s Committee on Civil and Political Rights convenes its 11th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Civil and Political Rights convened its 11th regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Dr. Badr Mohamed Adel and membership of Mrs. Dina Abdulrahman Al-Lazi and Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Al-Haddad. The meeting was held at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District.
During the meeting, the Committee adopted the Evaluation Form to follow-up the parliamentary and municipal elections. It also discussed the application referred to it by the House of Representatives to show its views on the amendment of some provisions of the Penal Code promulgated by Decree-Law No. (15) of 1976 prepared based upon the Law Proposal submitted by the Shura Council.
The Committee also reviewed the overall resolutions and recommendations made at its previous meeting and the actions taken thereon.
