NIHR’s Committee on Civil and Political Rights convenes its 12th Regular Meeting

The National Institute for Human Rights’ Committee on Civil and Political Rights of the held its 12th ordinary meeting at the NIHR’s Headquarters at the Seef District under the head of Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel and the members of Ms. Deena Abdulrahman Al-Ladhi and Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Al-Haddad.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the views prepared by the Secretariat-General in the light of the Committee's recommendations regarding the proposal with desire for the Government's preparation of a study on the Kingdom's commitment to the provisions of the International Covenants and the proposed amendment of some provisions of Decree-Law No. 15 of 1976 referred to the Committee by the Council of Representatives, in addition to the proposal to amend article 370 of Decree-Law No. 15 of 1976. The Committee concluded by adopting and approving the advisory opinions submitted by the Secretariat-General.
The Committee also reviewed all the resolutions and recommendations made at its previous meeting and the measures taken in that regard.
