NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms Convenes its 7th Meeting Virtually

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms has convened its 7th meeting virtually under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Ahmed Sabah El-Saloom,

The Committee opened its meeting by approving previous meeting minutes.  Then, it discussed its previous resolutions and recommendations and the actions taken thereupon and adopted a number of future events.

During the meeting, the Committee also discussed a proposal for amending the ban of noontime work, which was submitted by the NIHR to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.  It also discussed the procedures taken with regard to the NIHR initiative #Let’s_Help_Them_Reach, which aims to facilitate the movement of the disabled in public and private areas.

The Committee concluded its agenda by reviewing a proposal for holding an event dedicated to entrepreneurship and consolidating the concept of entrepreneurship and human rights for business owners and entrepreneurs in light of legislative and human rights frameworks in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
