Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee holds its 4th meeting

The NIHR’s Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee held its 4th meeting on Monday, 03rd August 2015 under the chairpersonship of Ms. Maria Khouri. The meeting was attended by Committee members Dr. Hameed Ahmed Hussein and Dr. Mona Hijris.
During the meeting, the Committee examined the complaints and the requests for the assistance received by the NIHR during the last period and took some decisions regarding the same. Out of the committee's concern to monitor the trials and to ensure conformity with the international standards of the right to fair trial, the Committee decided to attend the trial session of Secretary -General of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society to be held at the Supreme Criminal Court of Appeal on 14th December 2015.
On the other hand, the Committee discussed the ways of developing the mechanisms of coordination and cooperation with the authorities that are entrusted with competences common with those entrusted to the NIHR in order to achieve high rapidity and professionalism in rendering everything that protects human rights for different sections of the society. The Committee scheduled 07th September 2015 as the date for holding its next meeting.
