NIHR’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Convenes its 11th Meeting

The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up has convened its 11th regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Mr. Khalid Al-Sha’er, NIHR Vice-Chairman, and membership of Mrs. Rawdha Al-Aradi, Mrs. Hala Fayez and Dr. Hooreya Hassan.

The Committee opened its agenda by discussing the resolutions and recommendations issued by it.  Then it reviewed its statements related to the complaints received by the NIHR, the legal aids provided by it and the cases monitored by it via the media and social media since the last meeting, where it dealt with (63) complaints and legal aids during the said period, and discussed the actions taken thereupon. 

During the meeting, the Committee discussed the results of the visits conducted by an NIHR delegation to the Sickle Cell Treatment Centre in Bahrain in order to review the general conditions of patients and their notes, and to ensure that they enjoy their rights guaranteed under national legislation and international human rights standards.
