NIHR's Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-Up Committee holds its 13th meeting

The NIHR's Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-Up Committee held its 11th meeting, on Monday, 17th February 2014 under the chairpersonship of HE. Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Derazi. The meeting was attended by Committee members E. Ms. Maria Khuri and HE. Mr. Abdul-Jabar Ahmed Al Tayeb.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the reports on the attendance of the court session of Khalil Al-Marzouk and the attendance of the court sessions of some detained persons accused in the incidents of the Dry Dock Detention Centre in order to know the developments of the trial and the Commitment thereof to the international standards in such kind of the trials and to ensure that the Committee will proceed in attending the coming sessions.
Thereafter, the Committee reviewed all complaints and assistance requests received by the NIHR during the last period and the procedures taken on the same. It is worth mentioning that the NIHR received during the mentioned period (2) complaints and (8) assistance requests. The Committee reviewed the findings and concluded some resolutions will be entered into force.
