During the meeting, the Committee highlighted  the necessity of establishing a joint committee between the NIHR and Ministry of Interior in order to investigate  the complaints and claims of human rights violations allegedly committed by the employees of the Ministry as mentioned in the complaints received by the Committee or through the monitoring process performed by the Committee.

The Committee expressed its deep concern about arresting some women and about what is said regarding  the humiliation and degrading treatment they endured. The Committee called on  the officials to investigate  and verify such claims and take the necessary actions regarding the same. The Committee stressed the necessity of self-restraint to prepare the atmosphere by all parties; especially now that the kingdom is about to enter the election period in order to ensure that all individuals enjoy their rights in this regard.

In addition, the Committee reviewed all complaints and assistance requests received by the NIHR during August and the measures taken regarding the same. Nine complaints were received, all of which were studied and the authorities concerned were contacted regarding some thereof in order to follow up on the developments thereof. On the other hand, the NIHR received twelve assistance and legal advice requests and at the end of the meeting, the Committee made some decisions and recommendations which will be acted upon in due course.
