Meeting

The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Complaint, Monitoring & Follow-up has convened its 21^st regular meeting, under the chairpersonship of Mrs. Rawdha Salman Alaradi and membership of Mr. Khaled Alshaer, NIHR Vice-Chairperson, Mr. Ahmed Alsaloom and Ms. Deena Alladhi.

The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the statements related to the complaints received by the NIHR, the legal aids provided by it and the cases monitored by it through the media and social networking websites since the last meeting, where it dealt this month with (26) cases, which varied between complaints, legal aids and monitored cases during the last period, and discussed the actions taken in each case.

During the meeting, the Committee met with a number of inmates’ families to follow-up on their requests with the competent authorities, each according to its competence, within the framework of the NIHR’s keenness to protect and promote the inmates' rights and their continued enjoyment of all their rights.
