NIHR's Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-Up Committee holds its 14th meeting

The NIHR's Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-Up Committee held its 14th meeting on Monday, 21st March 2014 under the chairpersonship of HE. Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Derazi. The meeting was attended by Committee members E. Ms. Maria Khuri and HE. Dr. Badr Mohammed Adel.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the report on attendance of the court session of the Assistant Secretary-General of Al Wefaq Political Society Khalil Al-Marzouk and the attendance of the court sessions of the arrested persons accused in the incidents of the Dry Dock Detention Centre in order to know the developments of the trial and the commitment thereof to the international standards in such kind of the trials. Thereafter, the Committee reviewed all complaints and assistance applications received by the Institution during the previous period.
Thereafter, the Committee reviewed all complaints and assistance requests received by the NIHR during the previous period and the procedures taken on the same. It is worth mentioning that the NIHR received during the mentioned period (3) complaints and (9) assistance and legal advice requests. The Committee reviewed the findings and concluded some resolutions will be entered into force.
