NIHR’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Convenes its 19th Meeting

The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up has convened its 19th regular meeting, under the chairpersonship of Mrs. Rawdha Salman Al-Aradi and membership of Mr. Khaled Abdelaziz Al-Sha’er, NIHR Vice-Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Al-Saloom and Mrs. Deena Abdulrahman Al-Ladhi.

The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the statements related to the complaints received by the NIHR, the legal aids provided by it and the cases monitored by it through the media and social media since the last meeting, with (103) applications, which varied between complaints, legal aids and monitored cases during December, and discussed the actions taken in each case.

On the sidelines of the Committee meeting, the members met with a number of complainants and their relatives, whose issues varied from the right to obtain citizenship, the right to movement and travel, and the right to medical treatment for convicts, as the Committee will follow-up on these complaints with the relevant authorities.
