NIHR’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up convenes its 25th Regular Meeting

The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up has convened its 25th regular meeting, under the chairpersonship of Mrs. Rawda Salman Al-Aradi and membership of Mr. Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Sha’er, Mr. Ahmed subah Al-Saloom and Ms. Dina Abdelrahman Al-Ladhi.
The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the statements related to the complaints received by the NIHR, the legal aids provided by it and the cases monitored by it through the media and social networking websites since the last meeting, where it dealt this month with (31) cases, which varied between complaints, legal aids and monitoring cases during the last period. The Committee discussed the actions taken in each case.
During the meeting, the Committee members met with a number of complainants and their relatives, whose issues varied between the right of convicts to treatment and healthcare, and the request for replacing the sentence.
