Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Holds its Sixteenth Meeting

The Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee held its sixteenth regular meeting, chaired by Ms. Rawdha Salman Al-Aradi, and Mr. Khaled Abdul-Aziz Al-Shaer, Vice-Chairman, where it opened its work by reviewing the statements related to the complaints received by the NIHR, the legal aid provided and the cases monitored through the media and social media since the last meeting. The Committee examined (92) cases covering complaints, legal aid requests, and monitoring cases during the month of October, and discussed the measures taken regarding each.

During the meeting, the Committee met with a number of families of prisoners in the Reform and Rehabilitation Centre in Jaw to listen to their observations and demands regarding the health and social conditions of the prisoners and work on addressing them within the framework of the Committee's keenness to follow up on the conditions of prisoners in Reform and Rehabilitation and pretrial places of detention.
