NIHR’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up holds its 15th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up has convened its 15th regular meeting Under the chairpersonship of Ms. Maria Khoury and membership of Mr. Khaled Alshaer Mrs. Rawdha Salman Alaradi. The Committee reviewed all the complaints received by the NIHR as well as the applications for legal assistance and the advice submitted by it, amounting to (6) complaints, where the standard actions were taken in their regard and the concerned parties were contacted for follow-up.  It also provided (31) legal assistances and advices, which varied between assistance in receiving the necessary healthcare and treatment for guests at the Reform and Rehabilitation Center.  In addition, it received applications for assistance to find out solutions to some outstanding housing applications.  The NIHR also observed (4) cases via the media and social media.

The Committee received (98) cases via the toll-free hotline for receiving complaints and providing legal assistance and advice during July and August.

The Committee also commended the efforts made by the NIHR Secretary General under the supervision of Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadhel, the NIHR’s Secretary-General and the inauguration of the Comprehensive Communications Management System (CMS) for receiving complaints and inquiries via the hotline one year ago, with a view to improve the quality of the services provided by the customer service team.
