Complaint, Monitoring & Follow-up Committee Holds Its Tenth Regular Meeting

The Complaint, Monitoring & Follow-up Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its tenth regular meeting, chaired by Ms. Rawdha Salman Alaradi. The Committee began its proceedings by reviewing records of complaints and requests for legal assistance, as well as cases monitored through the media and social media platforms since its previous meeting. A total of 74 cases were recorded, comprising complaints and requests for legal assistance.
The Committee discussed the measures taken by NIHR regarding the cases under review and followed up on the implementation of its previous decisions and recommendations. It also reviewed the actions taken in this regard as part of its efforts to follow up on complaints and address them in accordance with NIHR’s established mechanisms.
In a related context, members of the Committee met with a number of complainants and listened to their requests and observations, which were documented for further review and the necessary action. The Committee will also communicate with the relevant authorities as part of its follow-up on the cases concerned.
