Detention & Facilities Visitation Committee convenes its 48th Meeting

Chaired by Dr. Mallallah Jaffar Al-Hammadi, the Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee held its 48th regular meeting. The Committee commenced its session by reviewing the findings and recommendations of its previous visit reports and took the appropriate decisions in this regard.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the outcomes of the visit conducted by its members to the Psychiatric Hospital, as part of its periodic plans to monitor the conditions of patients, ensure that the facilities comply with international human rights standards, and follow up on the level of medical and psychological care provided to them.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Committee discussed the schedule of field visits for the upcoming period, in fulfillment of its oversight mandate and to ensure adherence to human rights and humanitarian standards.
