Detention & Facilities Visitation Committee Holds its Eighth Regular Meeting

The Detention & Facilities Visitation Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its eighth regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Malallah Al Hammadi. The meeting commenced with a review of the findings of the Committee's previous field visits, including the observations and recommendations contained in the corresponding reports. Appropriate decisions and follow-up measures were adopted to enhance the effectiveness of monitoring and the implementation of recommendations.
The Committee also discussed its upcoming programme of field visits, which will cover a number of entities and institutions, including public and private hospitals, as well as various care homes, in line with the mandate entrusted to the NIHR under its founding law.
