Meeting

The Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee held its 47th regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Malallah Al Hammadi. The session commenced with a review of the findings and recommendations from previous visit reports, followed by the adoption of appropriate decisions in that regard.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the outcomes of its earlier visits and assessed the extent to which they aligned with international human rights standards, as well as the progress made in implementing its issued recommendations.

The meeting concluded with continued discussions on the proposed field visit plans for the remaining months of the current year. The Committee reaffirmed its commitment to advancing its field visit program to ensure the fulfillment of its oversight and preventive objectives, and to further promote human rights practices.
