Detention & Facilities Visitation Committee Holds Its Fifth Regular Meeting

The Detention & Facilities Visitation Committee held its fifth regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Malallah Jaffar Alhammadi. The meeting commenced with a review of the findings and recommendations contained in previous visit reports, follow-up on their outcomes, and an assessment of their compliance with international human rights standards. The Committee also reviewed the implementation status of its issued recommendations and took the appropriate decisions in this regard.
The Committee further discussed the proposed plans for upcoming field visits to a number of facilities, with a view to ensuring compliance with national and international human rights standards and providing developmental observations to the relevant authorities.
