NIHR Receives Trainee Students from the General Directorate of Traffic

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) received a number of trainee students from the General Directorate of Traffic as part of training programs aimed at enhancing knowledge and familiarizing participants with the national mechanisms for the protection of human rights in the Kingdom.

During the visit, a number of specialists in human rights and legal affairs at the Secretariat-General of the Institution delivered an introductory lecture on the role of the NIHR in promoting and protecting human rights. The lecture addressed the establishment of the Institution, its mandates and competencies, and its role in advancing human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to outlining its working mechanisms and its role in the protection of human rights.

The lecture aimed to raise the level of awareness among trainee students at the General Directorate of Traffic regarding the important role undertaken by the NIHR, and to enhance their understanding of human rights principles and protection frameworks, thereby contributing to the consolidation of a human rights culture and supporting institutional work pathways.
