NIHR Participates in the Activities of the Youth City 2030

The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has participated in the activities of the Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the Tamkeen Labour Fund, within the framework of the community partnership through which the NIHR seeks to develop youth energies and capabilities, and enhance their creative thinking skills by integrating them into international standards human rights programmes and activities.

Dr. Hooreya Hassan, member of the NIHR Council of Commissioner and Commissioner for Child's Rights, presented a panel discussion that focused on the most important topics of interest to Bahraini children.  She also presented an overview of the NIHR's role in protecting and promoting a culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and best practices related to its obligations in the human rights issue, in addition to educating participants about the advanced levels achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of human rights.

More than 200 participants of all ages participated in the NIHR's event, which falls within the Youth City activities, where a number of competitions were presented that support them intellectually and culturally with regard to children’s rights, in addition to offering awards to the winners of the competitions.
