Supreme Council for Environment Organizes Awareness Lecture for NIHR Staff on Sustainable Plastic Waste Management
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness and integrate sustainability principles across institutions, the Supreme Council for Environment, in collaboration with the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), organized an awareness lecture for the Secretariat staff of the Institution titled “Sustainable Management of Plastic Waste.”
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Noora Al-Kuwari, Senior Environmental Awareness Specialist at the Supreme Council for Environment, who highlighted key environmental challenges associated with plastic waste. She emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable practices in managing such waste due to their crucial role in environmental protection and reducing the negative impacts of irresponsible plastic use.
This lecture comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation between the Council and NIHR and is part of a broader series of awareness initiatives aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and embedding sustainability principles in the workplace, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Bahrain’s environmental vision.
