NIHR’s Committee Organizes a Virtual Lecture on the Tasks and Functions of the Permanent Committees of the Council of Commissioners

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has organized a virtual lecture for Human Rights Research Fellowship Program participants on the tasks and functions of the permanent committees of the Council of Commissioners, which was presented by Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh, Head of the NIHR Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms, in which she reviewed the legal basis for the work of the NIHR Council of Commissioners’ permanent committees, its members, its terms of reference and the nature of its work.

The training program, which falls within the NIHR Strategy and Action Plan to spread a culture of human rights among various segments of society in accordance with national and international standards, will last for two months from July to August 2021, with the participation of a number of private sector staff, students of public and private universities inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of job seekers registered with FORAS program in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
