Child Rights Commissioner Receives Copy of Master's Thesis on the Legal Protection of Children's Rights
Dr. Maha Saleh Al Shehab, Child Rights Commissioner at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received researcher Dhabiya Ali Asheer on the occasion of her obtaining a Master's degree in Public Law from the Applied Science University.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Shehab received a copy of the master's thesis entitled "The Legal Protection of Children's Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain – A Comparative Study." The thesis examines the legal framework governing children's rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain and highlights the significant progress achieved by the Kingdom in establishing a comprehensive legislative framework and strengthening the legal protection of children through national legislation and accession to relevant international conventions.
The Child Rights Commissioner commended the efforts of Bahraini researchers in advancing academic scholarship, emphasizing that the thesis represents a valuable contribution to specialized studies on children's rights. She noted that it helps showcase Bahrain's experience and enriches legal knowledge in this important field.
