NIHR Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day

Counselor-at-Law Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, Secretary-General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the HM the King of Bahrain, President of the Supreme Council for Women, may Allah protect her, on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, underscoring Her Royal Highness’s interest and care to advance the level of Bahraini women and empower them in all areas and levels.

This came during his honoring of the female employees of the NIHR Secretariat-General, in appreciation of their efforts to support the performance of the NIHR in order to achieve its goals and competencies, where he congratulated them on this national occasion and expressed his appreciation and pride for the efforts of Bahraini women in general, and for the female staff working in the NIHR in particular - who made up 62% - and for their merit and efficiency.

Counselor Shaheen stated that the NIHR supports everything that would enhance the status of Bahraini women and their respect and enjoyment of all privileges and rights, believing in the importance of the role of women in society as an essential partner in the process of construction and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
