NIHR Conducts a Virtual Evacuation Drill in Cooperation with Civil Defense
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized a virtual evacuation drill at its headquarters in the Seef District, in cooperation with the Protection and Safety Directorate of the General Directorate of Civil Defense. The drill aimed to enhance safety procedures, protect the Institution’s property, and ensure the well-being of all its employees.
Prior to the start of the evacuation, the Civil Defense team delivered an awareness lecture on evacuation and safety procedures, followed by the activation of the alarm to signal the beginning of the virtual drill. Under the supervision of the evacuation team, the safety team guided employees toward the designated emergency exits. The evacuation process took only one and a half minutes and involved 29 employees, and was assessed by the Civil Defense team as successful.
The implementation of this drill reflects the NIHR’s commitment to strengthening preparedness and improving response times to potential risks, through the application of emergency plans and adherence to protection and safety requirements, thereby contributing to safeguarding lives and property.
