His Excellency Minister of the Interior Receives NIHR’s Annual Report
His Excellency Lieutenant – General Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, received members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners led by Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul in the presence of HE the Deputy Minister of the Interior, HE the Inspector General, HE the President of Public Security and HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister welcomed the Head and members of NIHR Council of Commissioners, noting that His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, may God protect him, has laid down the basic rules of human rights, which were emphasized by the legislations issued within the framework of the rule of law and institutions, in order to ensure the achievement of a society of security and stability, and praising the NIHR’s role in fulfilling its humanitarian mission, being an identity for the people of Bahrain, which seeks through its work to maintain social stability.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister received the NIHR’s two annual reports for 2015 and 2016, directing the concerned authorities to respond quickly to the points mentioned in the two reports concerning the work of the Ministry of Interior, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the NIHR.
