NIHR Participates in Launch of Arab Human Rights Education Guide for Schools
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) participated virtually, represented by Dr. Maha Al Shehab, in the final meeting for the launch of the final version of the guiding manual on best practices and experiences in the Arab region in the field of human rights education in schools. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions and the United Nations Training and Documentation Centre.
In this context, Dr. Al Shehab affirmed that the guide contributes to consolidating the values of citizenship and national belonging among children and aligns with international efforts, particularly the initiatives of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and build societies that are more aware, just, and tolerant.
The guide is the outcome of a series of active contributions in which the Institution participated, including the submission of proposals and educational activities aimed at strengthening the integration of human rights concepts across various educational stages.
