NIHR Receives non-resident Ambassador of Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Chairperson Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul received at NIHR's headquarters in the Seef District the non-resident Ambassador of Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom Mr. Manuel Kavalho.

At the beginning of the meeting, the NIHR's Chairperson expressed his thanks to the Portuguese Ambassador for his visit and stated the NIHR's desire to activate cooperation between both sides, especially in the field of sharing expertise, training and holding workshops on human rights enhancement and protection.

On his side, the Ambassador expressed his great thanks to the NIHR and its role in the society, which aims to promote human rights, and showed his readiness to provide all support to the NIHR in order to achieve its goals and terms of reference.

Meeting was attended by NIHR's Vice President Mr. Abdullah Al-Derazi, NIHR's Assistant Secretary-General and Acting Secretary General Mr. Yasser Ghanem Shaheen and NIHR's Director of Information Technology and Communication Mr. Fahad Al Mu'alla.
