Delegation from NIHR Visits the Injured from Sitra at Salmaniya Medical Complex
A delegation from the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), headed by Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), and accompanied by a number of members of the Council of Commissioners, conducted a field visit to Salmaniya Medical Complex to check on the condition of those injured from the Sitra area as a result of the reprehensible Iranian attacks that targeted residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the health condition of the injured and the level of medical care being provided to them. The Chairperson and members of the Council of Commissioners conveyed their wishes for the injured for a speedy recovery and continued health and wellbeing, praising the significant efforts made by the medical and nursing staff in providing the necessary healthcare services.
The delegation affirmed NIHR’s solidarity with the injured and their families and its commitment to following up on their humanitarian and health conditions. They also stressed the importance of protecting civilians and civilian objects in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and relevant international conventions, and the necessity of refraining from targeting residential areas due to the serious humanitarian consequences.
The delegation also expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to the health authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain for their prompt response and for providing medical services to the injured with high professionalism, wishing everyone safety and a swift recovery.
