National Institution for Human Rights receives the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Huddersfield in Britain

Miss Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights, received at NIHR's headquarters in the Seef District Professor Kasim Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Mustafa Al-Qadi, Director of Projects at the University of Huddersfield. The meeting was attended by Mrs. Latifa Rashed Al-Jalahma, Director of the NIHR's Legal Affairs and Training Department,

During the meeting, Ms. Khoury presented an overview of the NIHR and the role it plays in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the training and educational programs provided by the to promote a culture of human rights among all segments of society.

Topics of common interest were also discussed and ways of coordination and cooperation between the NIHR and the University of Huddersfield were discussed, especially in the field of training and education.

For his part, Professor Sheikh expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Chairperson of the Foundation for the warm reception, appreciating the tireless efforts made by the NIHR to promote and spread the culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
