NIHR celebrates Anniversary of National Action Charter

Believing in the national importance of the National Action Charter’s Day, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) celebrated the 19th anniversary of the approval of this civilized national model, launched in the year 2001 as the milestone that the Kingdom of Bahrain is living today under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, may Allah protect him.

On this special occasion, Ms. Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the NIHR, on her behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council of Commissioners, the Secretary General and the staff of the Secretariat General, extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, asserting that the NIHR’s work today reflects the Charter’s support for the principles of justice, equality, democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights, the matter that brought about a new dawn full of national accomplishments at all political, civil, economic, social and cultural levels, witnessing today’s qualitative status that the Kingdom of Bahrain that has elevated to be in the ranks of democratic countries.

The NIHR seizes this opportunity to invite everyone to renew commitment to the principles and legal and civilizational foundations that the National Action Charter has come up with and to consolidate, preserve and implement the principles of human rights, as the Kingdom of Bahrain has been and will remain a beacon of pluralism and coexistence and a platform for tolerance, where everyone continues towards building a homeland in which security and peace prevails, hoping that Allah Almighty will return this occasion to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its leadership and noble people with good and blessings.
