NIHR Receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey
Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Her Excellency Dr. Ayşe Sayan Koytak, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the NIHR headquarters.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen and enhance cooperation in areas related to human rights, and addressed a number of topics, including the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Alderazi briefed the Ambassador on the Institution’s key achievements in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also outlined the procedures for handling complaints received by the NIHR, as well as its monitoring and follow-up mechanisms, and the field visits conducted to various locations and institutions.
The Turkish Ambassador commended the vital role played by the NIHR in supporting various human rights issues, and emphasized the importance of continuing the exchange of expertise between both parties.
