NIHR Discusses Ways to Cooperate with the SFCG Organization

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) met at its headquarters in the Seef District with a delegation of the Search for Common Ground (SFCG) Organization, under chairpersonship of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region Director Mr. Abul-Mahasen Fahri and in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Foundation for Reconciliation and Dialogue (BFD).

At the beginning of the meeting, NIHR's Vice Chairperson Mr. Abdullah Al-Derazi welcomed the visiting delegation.  He commended the cooperation in the various fields between the NIHR and BFD in encouraging social reconciliation and assisting the human rights enhancement and protection process through the training programs held by specialized organizations in this field and emphasized that the Kingdom always witnesses remarkable progress in the human rights arena thanks to HM King of Bahrain's reform project, may God protect him.

On his part, Mr. Fahri expressed his sincere thanks for the warm welcome and referred to NIHR's good efforts in the human rights enhancement and protection field, which reveals the noble mission for which it has been established.

Mr. Fahri presented an illustration of the SFCG's mechanism of action in bringing closer the views of individuals and groups in the same community, resolving conflicts in a peaceful manner with the cooperation of all parties and working to restore and maintain national cohesion, which stabilizes the principle of peaceful coexistence between various society components.  He further expressed his aspiration to reinforce the relationship between both sides, which supports efforts to achieve common goals.

The delegation's visit program included a tour of the NIHR's building halls, including the training center, NIHR's library and complaints receiving office.  Meeting was further attended by NIHR's Information Technology and Communication Director Mr. Fahad Al Mu'alla.
