NIHR Receives Ambassador of the French Republic
Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received His Excellency Mr. Éric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Alderazi welcomed the Ambassador and provided him with an overview of the NIHR’s mandate in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in accordance with the powers and responsibilities granted under its establishment law—particularly in relation to monitoring the human rights situation, receiving complaints, and providing relevant advice and recommendations to the competent authorities.
The meeting also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between the two sides, in support of ongoing efforts to promote a culture of human rights and raise awareness in this regard.
