NIHR Organizes Field Visit for “Young Human Rights Advocate” Program to Bahrain Red Crescent Society
As part of the “Young Human Rights Advocate” Program, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in the presence of Dr. Maha Al Shehab, Commissioner for Child Rights, organized a field visit for the Friends of the Commissioner for Child Rights Team to the Bahrain Red Crescent Society. The visit aimed to raise children’s awareness of humanitarian values and foster a culture of humanitarian and voluntary work.
The visit featured an interactive workshop on the establishment of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as their roles in humanitarian and voluntary work. Participants were also introduced to the Movement’s seven Fundamental Principles and the values they embody, including humanity, impartiality, solidarity, and social responsibility.
The visit forms part of the field activities of the “Young Human Rights Advocate” Program, which seeks to promote a culture of human rights among children and strengthen the values of participation, solidarity, and respect for human dignity through interactive and practical activities.
