NIHR welcomes the Return of the UNICEF to the Kingdom of Bahrain

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) welcomed the return of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to the Kingdom of Bahrain once again after a five-year hiatus, within the framework of the strategic partnership signed recently by Bahrain to activate 16 UN agencies.

Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadel, Secretary-General of the NIHR, expressed the NIHR’s aspiration to cooperate with the UNICEF and to work with it side by side in order to promote the rights of the children in the Kingdom, while stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain has paid great attention to childhood and its investment, development and protection by giving this group the best and the most valuable it has and guaranteeing children’s right to live in peace in an integrated climate of dialogue, dignity and sustainable development.

Dr. Al-Fadel emphasized that the NIHR welcomes cooperation with all the UN specialized agencies and bodies as well as all other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
