Statement by NIHR Chairman on the Occasion of Bahraini Women's Day
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), on his own behalf and on behalf of all members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners and Secretariat-General, extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day.
Al-Derazi stated that the outstanding success achieved by Bahraini women and the prestigious positions they have reached at the regional and international levels have contributed greatly to raising the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels and in various forums, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalia, King of the country, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al-Derazi commended the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women in this regard, being a lofty edifice that supports Bahraini women, which has contributed to their achievement of pioneering attainments regionally and internationally in all fields, stressing that the NIHR works, with its broad mandate, to support everything that would enhance the status of Bahraini women, their respect, and their enjoyment of all benefits and rights, whether civil, political, economic, social or cultural, as an essential partner in building the renaissance of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
