NIHR Receives the Deputy Ambassador of the UK to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Mr. Ali Ahmed Al-Darazi, Chairperson of the National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received at the NIHR’s Headquarters in Seef district HE Mr. Stuart Summers, Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Ms. Lauren Gummer, Head of Political Affairs, Media and Public Relations at the British Embassy,

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairperson of the NIHR welcomed the guests, praising the depth of relations between the two sides, especially with regard to technical cooperation in the areas of training and exchange of expertise.  Mr. Al-Darazi also reviewed the NIHR’s work methodology for the next phase, stressing the importance of continuing joint cooperation and coordination to unify efforts in areas related to human rights.

For his part, the British Deputy Ambassador expressed his sincere congratulations to Mr. Al-Darazi on his election as Chairman of the NIHR, wishing him success in his work in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing at the same time the readiness of the British Embassy to cooperate and provide technical and technological support in order for the NIHR to achieve its goals and terms of reference.
