NIHR Participates in an Event under the Theme of “Depression: Let’s Talk”

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by Ms. Maria Khouri, Head of NIHR’s Committee on Economic and Social Rights, participated in an educational and recreational event, which was held by the Ministry of Health under the sponsorship of Dr. Aisha Buanq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, on the Occasion of World Mental Health Day under the theme of “Depression:  Let’s Talk”.

The event was attended by Mrs. Mariam Al-Hajri, Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Health Care, Mrs. Abeer Al-Ghawi, Health Promotion Director at the Ministry of Health and Dr. Hameed Ahmed, Head of the Psychiatric Hospital, as well as a number of assistant agents and officials at the Ministry of Health, doctors staff at the Psychiatric Hospital, Al-Malkiya Club scout students and female social workers in the Social Research Department at healthcare and school health centers.
