NIHR Receives a Number of EU Ambassadors

Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received a number of Their Excellencies, ambassadors of European Union Member States residing in the State of Kuwait, as part of efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation and exchange views on issues of mutual interest in the field of human rights.

At the outset of the meeting, Alderazi welcomed the ambassadors and provided an overview of NIHR’s role and mandate in the protection and promotion of human rights, as well as its efforts to monitor the human rights situation and its programmes and activities aimed at disseminating and promoting a culture of human rights.

The meeting also addressed a number of human rights-related topics and explored ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise and experiences. Alderazi highlighted the importance of such visits in providing opportunities to learn about different practices and experiences in areas related to human rights.

For their part, the ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the meeting and the opportunity it provided to gain a deeper understanding of NIHR’s role and mandate. They also stressed the importance of maintaining communication and continuing the exchange of views on issues and topics of mutual interest.
