The Subcommittee Holds Its Fifth Meeting

The subcommittee at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), tasked with documenting the human rights and humanitarian repercussions resulting from the Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain, held its fifth meeting under the chairmanship of Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), to review the latest developments in preparing the comprehensive report on monitoring and documenting the humanitarian and human rights impacts arising from these attacks.

The committee reviewed the documents and official data collected from national entities, in addition to information received from relevant regional and international organizations, as well as the outcomes of field visits and interviews conducted with a number of individuals affected by these attacks. These efforts contribute to strengthening the comprehensiveness of the report and documenting the various humanitarian, economic, and social repercussions.

The meeting also discussed the progress achieved in preparing the report and the remaining steps required for its completion, including following up on responses from the concerned entities and incorporating the findings of field visits, in preparation for drafting the report in accordance with the established timeline.

The committee emphasized the importance of ensuring that the report is based on reliable information and credible sources, thereby guaranteeing the presentation of a comprehensive and well-substantiated account of the human rights and humanitarian repercussions resulting from these attacks.
