NIHR Organizes an Awareness Lecture for Children Titled “I Am a Responsible Citizen”
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized an awareness lecture entitled “I Am a Responsible Citizen” at its headquarters in Seef District, with the participation of a number of children and their parents from the Friends of the Child Rights Commissioner Team and children enrolled in the Sharifa Al Awadhi Club.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Maha Al Shehab, Child Rights Commissioner, aimed to instill the values of citizenship and social responsibility among children, enhance their awareness of their positive role in society, and introduce them to their rights and responsibilities through an interactive approach tailored to their ages and cognitive needs.
The lecture included a variety of interactive activities and discussions focusing on concepts of national belonging, respect for rights and duties, and the importance of positive participation in society, thereby contributing to the development of children's personalities and strengthening their role as responsible and active citizens within their social environment.
This lecture forms part of the efforts of the National Institution for Human Rights to promote a culture of human rights among all segments of society and to enhance awareness of rights and responsibilities from an early age. These efforts contribute to preparing a generation that is aware of its rights and duties and capable of contributing to the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain and reinforcing the values of good citizenship.
