24 May 2026

A delegation from the Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) conducted a field visit to a number of injured citizens and families affected by the heinous Iranian aggression that targeted their homes, causing material damage and injuries. The visit aimed to assess their humanitarian conditions and examine the extent of the physical and psychological impacts they had endured. During the visit, the delegation met with several homeowners affected, selected randomly from among the residents, and listened to their firsthand accounts regarding the damage sustained to their homes and properties. The delegation affirmed the Institution’s full solidarity with those affected and its commitment to following up on their situations in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of necessary support and protection.

The delegation also commended the swift response of the competent official authorities and the efficiency demonstrated by emergency teams, civil defense personnel, and health and security agencies in addressing the consequences of the aggression, providing healthcare and humanitarian assistance, and securing alternative housing for affected families. These efforts reflect a high level of preparedness and institutional coordination among the concerned entities.

NIHR reaffirms its continued commitment to monitoring the humanitarian conditions of the injured and affected individuals, as well as documenting any violations that may impact the rights and safety of citizens, in line with its national mandate to promote and protect human rights.
