NIHR Conducts an Announced Visit to LMRA and the Migrant Workers Protection Center
A delegation from the Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) conducted an announced field visit to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority in the Sanabis area and the Migrant Workers Protection Center in the Northern Sehla area.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the services provided to employers and migrant workers, examined oversight mechanisms and the measures in place to prevent any violations or potential exploitation of workers, and verified compliance with laws and regulations related to the right to work. The delegation also discussed challenges that workers may face in the labor market. In addition, the delegation listened to the views of a number of migrant workers at the center, documented their observations, and initiated the preparation of appropriate recommendations to be submitted to the competent authorities.
